Booking Information for your stay at Jack's Cottage
Following the latest Government 'roadmap' announcement on February 22nd 2021 we look forward to reopening and welcoming guests from April 12th. Please see our Availability and Prices page to book your Spring, Summer or Autumn break!
Our Coronavirus Update page has details of the enhanced cleaning and safety protocols in place. We have also decided to leave at least 24 hrs between each stay meaning no guests will leave and arrive on the same day.
To make a booking check availability on the listing on theAvailability and Prices page and then contact us with your request using the Contact Formon the Contact Us page. Alternatively email enquiries@jacks-cottage.co.uk or call us on 01335 342188 or 07800 969501 and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
The cottage will be ready for you from 3pm. We will email to confirm the code for the Key Safe to enable you to 'self check in' and access the cottage, together with other helpful information before you arrive. Departure is by 10am. We regret early check ins or later departures will not be possible.
By accessing the cottage guests will be confirming they have read and accept the Booking Conditions below and:
are not displaying and have not displayed within the previous 10 days, symptoms of coronavirus, are not shielding, self isolating or in quarantine
are agreeing to notify us immediately if you are contacted by NHS Test and Trace and asked to self isolate as cleaning protocols on departure are different if you need to self isolate
agree that if you develop symptoms during your stay and if tested positive will leave immediately to self isolate at your primary residence (full details in the cottage or on request).
if leaving is not reasonably possible you accept you will be liable for any fees for bookings affected by your self isolation at Jack's Cottage
you will notify us if you develop symptoms within 10 days of departure
you adhere to the relevant Covid Tier restrictions whilst staying at Jack's Cottage (details in the cottage).
*** We also advise that only one household bubble books the cottage, as it would be difficult for two households to maintain the advised 2m social distancing rule whilst staying in the cottage.***
A £75 deposit is required on confirmation of booking with the balance 4 weeks in advance of your arrival date.
We will refund in full if your booking has to be cancelled because Jack's Cottage is put under Government Restrictions and has to close, or we have to cancel your booking due to any unforeseen circumstances. In the event that your given Post Code is put into Local or Regional Lockdown, meaning you cannot travel, and the period of restriction covers your booking, we will also refund in full.
Guest cancellations for any other reason remain at your risk, including Covid 19 related cancellations (illness, self isolation, shielding or quarantine) and do not give rise to a right to cancel or to receive a refund unless we are able to rebook the dates. We therefore strongly advise that you take out your own UK holiday insurance, including enhanced cover for Covid19 which is available from a number of insurance companies, to cover the cost of your stay in the event of cancellation. If you choose not to take out UK travel insurance, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to you cancelling your booking.
Payments can be made either by direct bank transfer (preferred) or by cheque. Details on confirmation of booking.
Dogs may be accepted by prior arrangement at the time of booking and for an additional £15 charge per pet per stay. Conditions apply, available on request.
Jack's Cottage is strictly No Smoking. Smoking is not permitted in either the cottage or garden.
Babies in arms welcome, but the stone flagged floors do not make the cottage really suitable for toddlers. A travel cot and high chair are available on request (please bring your own cot bedding).
All bedding and towels are provided.
