  • The village of Longnor is accessible by both car and bus. To access the cottage by public transport, guests can take a train to Buxton (approximately 5 miles from the cottage), and then the Number 442 bus from Buxton to Longnor. Car hire and taxi services are also available in Buxton.

Do note that Longnor is a rural village: to make the most of all the Peak District has to offer, guests may benefit from the use of a vehicle.

  • Unfortunately it is not possible to charge an electric vehicle while staying at Jack's Cottage. Recent legislation requires a dedicated EV circuit and charging point with mandatory safety protocols in place to prevent electrical malfunctions and fire risk. This is not installed at the cottage and an extension cable from the internal domestic socket is not permitted as this is a fire risk and will invalidate our Insurance Cover. However, please click here for the nearest charging points in Buxton.
